About the Conference

The State Border Guard College, in collaboration with RTU Rezekne Academy, has a good and long-standing tradition of hosting scientific and practical conferences to provide researchers with a forum to share ideas and knowledge about recent advancements in the field of border security and management.

Please refer to the announcement for the current call for papers for the biennial international scientific and practical conference on border security and management. Members of the State Border Guard, academic staff from RTU Rezekne, and scientists from Latvia and beyond are invited to attend the conference and present their research.

Issues related to integrated border management, immigration opportunities and challenges, border security and management cooperation, information technologies in border security and management, influencing border guard education, ethical concerns, and psychological aspects of border management will be the focus of the conference papers that the authors submit. Another important area of research is border security and administration. The State Border Guard's role, history, and contemporary concerns are highlighted in particular. The purpose of conference papers is to identify the causes, predict potential effects, and develop rational solutions for border security and management problems. Additionally, papers must continuously incorporate new technologies and methods into their research. We encourage problem-oriented studies that incorporate elements of scientific creativity or scientific inquiry.

Professionals interested in civil defence, internal security, and border security and management are invited to submit papers for the "Border security and management" conference by the conference's editing team and scientific committee. According to the conference organizers, researchers, master's and doctoral students, and university employees will be especially interested in looking into border security-related problems and developing original solutions that are included in the research papers.

The editorial board would like to express its gratitude to the authors of the papers, reviewers, organizational board members, and collaboration partners for their contributions to the journal.
